Twenty-five years later, we’re still here, still making belts, and still learning that the hard way is usually the right way.
Today, Longyi Rubber Products Factory (brand: LYBELT) operates from Xingtai, Hebei Province. We’ve developed 130+ proprietary rubber compound formulations, earned [IATF 16949 certification](/certifications/), and ship to distributors in over 100 countries. Here’s the truth about our history: it’s not a straight line of success. It’s a series of lessons, some of them expensive.
We started with PK belts (poly V belts) for the domestic market. One production line, a handful of workers, and a lot of optimism. The quality was… acceptable. We had a lot to learn.
Passed ISO 9002 and QS9000. These weren’t just certificates to hang on the wall — they forced us to document our processes, track our defects, and actually think about quality systematically. It was painful. It was necessary.
Added ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) certifications. Some factories treat these as paperwork exercises. We used them to actually clean up our operations. Our workers noticed. Our neighbors noticed.
The Chinese government recognized our R&D capabilities and designated us a National Enterprise Technology Center. This wasn’t just an honor — it came with resources and expectations. We invested heavily in compound development.
Developed multiple surface treatment technologies for V-ribbed belts. This opened up [OEM customization](/oem-odm/) possibilities we hadn’t imagined. Customers started asking for things we’d never made before. We figured out how to make them.
This one took three years of preparation. Aviation certification requires precision, documentation, and quality control at a level most factories never attempt. The certification applies to specialty products, but the discipline it requires is embedded in everything we make now.
