Product Description

Greenhouse Equipment Belt

Greenhouses are controlled environments — temperature, humidity, ventilation, irrigation all working together. When a belt fails on a ventilation fan or shade system, that control disappears. Plants stress, yields drop, and in extreme cases, entire crops can be lost. Greenhouse operators don’t have time for belt problems.

We manufacture drive belts for greenhouse ventilation, shade systems, irrigation, and automation equipment. Our IATF 16949 certified facility produces these belts with compounds designed for the unique greenhouse environment — high humidity, temperature cycling, and continuous operation.

Greenhouse Belt Applications

Ventilation Systems

Exhaust fans, circulation fans, and intake shutters keep air moving and temperatures stable. These systems run continuously during growing season.

  • Exhaust fan drives
  • HAF (horizontal air flow) fan drives
  • Intake shutter motors
  • Ridge vent actuators

Shade & Curtain Systems

Automated shade cloth and thermal curtains protect plants from excessive sun and retain heat at night. The drive systems need to be reliable and quiet.

  • Shade curtain drives
  • Thermal blanket systems
  • Blackout curtain drives

Irrigation & Fertigation

Pump drives for irrigation and fertigation systems. These need to handle the humidity and occasional chemical exposure.

  • Irrigation pump drives
  • Fertigation injector pumps
  • Misting system pumps

Automation Equipment

Modern greenhouses use conveyors, potting machines, and transplanting equipment. These systems need precise, reliable belt drives.

  • Conveyor systems
  • Potting machines
  • Seeding equipment
  • Transplanting lines

Why EPDM for Greenhouses

We recommend EPDM compound for most greenhouse applications:

  • Humidity resistance — EPDM doesn’t absorb moisture or degrade in high-humidity environments
  • Ozone resistance — Greenhouses with supplemental CO2 or ozone generators need belts that won’t degrade
  • Temperature cycling — EPDM maintains flexibility through the daily temperature swings greenhouses experience
  • UV resistance — Better than CR for applications with sun exposure
  • Long service life — Reduces maintenance interruptions during critical growing periods

Quality Assurance

Every greenhouse equipment belt goes through our IATF 16949 certified quality system:

  • Material verification — EPDM compound tested for humidity and ozone resistance
  • Dimensional accuracy — Critical for proper pulley engagement
  • Tensile testing — Ensures reliable power transmission
  • Flex testing — Validates performance under continuous operation

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should greenhouse belts be inspected?

Monthly during growing season, and before each new crop cycle. Look for cracking, glazing, or excessive wear. Replace belts showing visible damage before they fail during a critical period.

Can greenhouse humidity damage belts?

CR (Neoprene) belts can absorb moisture over time, leading to swelling and reduced performance. EPDM is much more resistant to humidity. For high-humidity greenhouses, always specify EPDM.

What’s the MOQ for greenhouse equipment belts?

Standard sizes: 300 pieces. Custom specifications: 500 pieces. Contact us to discuss.
