Industrial Multi-Ribbed Belt Materials and Models
Industrial multi-ribbed belts, also known as poly-V belts, are highly efficient transmission belts widely used in industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, and automotive applications. The primary materials for these belts typically include chloroprene rubber (CR) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM).
Chloroprene rubber offers excellent oil resistance and heat resistance, making it suitable for general industrial use with high cost-effectiveness. On the other hand, EPDM is known for its outstanding high-temperature resistance, ozone resistance, and aging resistance, performing exceptionally well in harsh environments, particularly in long-term, high-load operations.
Common models of multi-ribbed belts include PH, PJ, PK, PL, and PM. Among them, PK type is often used in automotive engines and air conditioning systems, while PL and PM types are more prevalent in industrial machinery and heavy-duty equipment. The design of the multi-ribbed belt enhances transmission efficiency and flexibility, effectively reducing vibration and noise, thus extending the service life of the equipment.
